Ukraine attacked the port of Sevastopol and the Taganrog air base with missiles

Air defense units in the port of Sevastopol, located in occupied Crimea, shot down more than 20 Ukrainian drones at dawn on Wednesday, with Ukraine also using Storm Shadow missiles, the city's governor said, according to Reuters.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties, Mikhail Razvozhayev wrote on Telegram, adding that several buildings, including a regional headquarters of the central bank and an eight-story apartment building, were damaged in the attack.

Storm Shadow missiles are manufactured by a Franco-British consortium. Russia has in the past summoned the ambassadors of Great Britain and France to protest Ukraine's use of these weapons.

Separately, two people were injured in the southern Russian port city of Taganrog, east of the border with Ukraine, after Russia shot down a missile early Wednesday, Taganrog Mayor Svetlana Kambulova said.

In total, Russia shot down 140 drones overnight, according to the Moscow Defense Ministry, quoted by the Interfax news agency.
