Wendy's will open a location in Poland. Famous burgers available soon

Wendy's is an American chain of fast-food restaurants founded in 1969 in Ohio. In 2023, it had 7,166 locations in 30 countries – both in the United States and North America, as well as Australia, and several countries in South America and Europe.
According to information from “Rzeczpospolita”, until recently the chain was in talks with several companies that were interested in opening restaurants under the Wendy's banner. Currently, this list was to be narrowed down to one company. In addition, the company was to finalize talks with a Polish partner who will be responsible for the development of the brand in our country.
Rex Concepts, which runs restaurants of chains such as Burger King and Popeyes, was indicated as one of the brand's potential partners in Poland. However, the company's press office did not comment on reports of possible negotiations regarding the introduction of the Wendy's brand to the Polish market.
The Wendy's chain plans to expand in Europe
The first reports regarding the possible appearance of Wendy's locations on the Vistula River appeared in mid-2024. In turn, in 2021, the brand entered the British market, which “was supposed to be a bridgehead where the brand wanted to develop a growth strategy on European markets,” Michael Clarke, director of Wendy's for Europe, explained in an interview with Business Insider.
Polish consumers had the opportunity to try Wendy's products even earlier, in 2017. Then the chain opened several pop-ups, which allowed it to collect opinions on the future presence of the brand on the Vistula River.
In 2025, however, the network faced a crisis caused by, among others, by declining sales, due to which it announced a reduction in the number of locations in the United States.
The Wendy's chain is famous for its square burgers, sea salt fries, spicy chicken sandwiches and Frosty desserts. The restaurant menu consists mainly of fast-food dishes.
