Specialists from the Krasnoyarsk Rospotrebnadzor advised which foods to include in the diet to improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Fruits, vegetables and greens stimulate the intestines and help remove substances that the body does not need. Fermented milk products are rich in beneficial microorganisms that ensure healthy intestinal microflora and build immunity.

Porridge coats the mucous membrane, is quickly digested and does not overload the stomach. However, it must be taken into account that each cereal has its own characteristics. Fish is easily digestible and saturates the body with polyunsaturated fatty acids. They have an anti-inflammatory and protective effect on the gastric mucosa. Soups are also easy to digest. They prepare the stomach to accept heavier foods, and thanks to the presence of vegetables, they become an additional source of fiber.

“Do not overeat fatty, sweet, salty and spicy foods – they overload the digestive system and lead to bloating, diarrhea, constipation and other problems. It’s better to steam, boil, stew or bake foods more and don’t forget about the drinking regime,” noted Rospotrebnadzor.
