Krasnoyarsk Railways opened an interactive educational platform “Country of Railways” for schoolchildren in Krasnoyarsk

The educational platform of KrasRussian Railways for schoolchildren “Country of Railways” opened in Krasnoyarsk, at the International Exhibition Center “Siberia”, as part of the XX Specialized Forum “Modern Security Systems – Anti-Terror 2026”.

The site is a unique interactive complex developed by railway specialists for effective training in safe behavior at railway facilities.

Especially for Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren, railway workers installed on it a training simulator for the most powerful freight locomotive, Ermak, which transports trains weighing up to 7,000 tons in Siberia.

Using the simulator, children can feel like a driver and understand why they should not cross the tracks in front of an approaching train. Even with emergency braking, a heavy train will not be able to stop quickly: the braking distance reaches a kilometer. When crossing, you need to take off your headphones and hood and be extremely careful.

Educational locations tell how arranged the railway and why it is not a place for games. The contact wires above the tracks are under a voltage of 27 thousand volts; an electric current of such strength strikes at a distance of two meters. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to climb onto carriages, supports, bridges – you can get burns even before climbing.

In addition, master classes have been organized at the site for young Krasnoyarsk residents: together with railway workers, children make keychains and magnets with their own hands depicting safety signs – “Beware of the train!”, “High voltage!”, “Walking on the tracks is prohibited!” Schoolchildren will take the crafts with them as a reminder of important rules.

“Country of Railways” is open to visitors at the Siberia International Exhibition Center in Krasnoyarsk during all 3 days of the forum – until May 22.

This is not the only preventive event organized by Krasnoyarsk Railways for schoolchildren in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia on the eve of the summer holidays. Throughout May, railway workers are holding a children's event “Make Way for Trains!”, which includes interactive safety lessons and thematic excursions.

Experts also remind parents of the need not to leave children unattended at railway facilities and teach them safe behavior by personal example.
