“Cristi Chivu will sign a new long-term contract before the end of the month. The parties reached an agreement until June 2028, with an option to extend until June 2029 and a salary increase“, wrote transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano. The current deal expires on June 30, 2027.

The Italian journalist did not provide amounts, but earlier this month, Gazzetta dello Sport wrote that Chivu's annual salary will increase from 2.1 to 3 million euros net.
