Aston Villa, the team that Prince William supports, defeated SC Freiburg without right of appeal, 3-0, in the final of the Europa League.
For Villa, the trophy won in Istanbul on Wednesday night was their second in Europe after the 1982 triumph against Bayern in the European Champions Cup (the predecessor of the Champions League). If he had not yet been born then, Prince William (43 years old) could celebrate this time with the team.

Aston Villa captain John McGinn joked to the party invitee: “We're hoping Prince William will pay for the free bar. He's a classy guy, he was in the dressing room before the final.
