A schoolgirl from Kozulka decided to ride a pit bike and got caught by the police

May 20 14:00

In the Kozul municipal district, traffic police inspectors stopped a dangerous ride by a 15-year-old schoolgirl on a pit bike. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region spoke about this.

In the village of Kozulka, during an evening patrol, a traffic police squad stopped a pit bike driven by a 15-year-old local resident.

Since the minor, due to her age, did not and could not have a driver’s license, the inspectors immediately removed her from driving. The girl's legal representative was promptly called to the scene. The law enforcement officers seized the pit bike itself and sent it to the impound lot.

Since the teenager was not yet 16 years old, the sanctions fell on her parents. For transferring control of transport to a person who obviously does not have a driver’s license, administrative material was drawn up under Part 3 of Art. 12.7 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of 30 thousand rubles.

In addition, the schoolgirl’s legal representatives can be held accountable for failure to fulfill obligations to support and raise a child (Article 5.35 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation), and the girl herself can be placed on preventive registration.

Police remind: pit bikes are sports equipment and are not intended for public roads. Buying such equipment for children to drive uncontrollably through the streets and towns is not just a risk of receiving a huge fine, but also a direct threat to their life and health.
