On May 30, the SberPrime Green Marathon of Sber will take place on Tatyshev Island in Krasnoyarsk. The event will combine both running competitions at various distances and a large family holiday on the eve of summer.
This year, the Green Marathon will be opened and all races will be started by Ilya Averbukh, a famous Russian figure skater, Olympic medalist, world champion and European champion, winner of the Grand Prix final and multiple champion of Russia in ice dancing. Guests of the holiday will be able to take a photo with him and get an autograph. He will also run the main distance with the race participants. You can register to participate in the races now. Participation is free.
Children's distances are planned for 500 meters and 1 kilometer. Adults over 14 years old will be able to run a distance of 4.2 kilometers. The longest distance for professionals is 10 kilometers. Guests of the festival will also enjoy Nordic walking and an inclusive route for participants with disabilities. To obtain a starting number and participate in the race, a medical certificate is required.
This year there will be races at two more distances, 5 km and 1 km, in support of the All-Russian environmental campaign “I Choose Clean Air”.
“Sber invites all citizens and guests of the city to a big family and sports event – the Green Marathon. This year the famous figure skater Ilya Averbukh is running with us. In addition, we have expanded the number of distances: now walkers can also participate in the Marathon – they can walk their eco-kilometer in support of the All-Russian environmental campaign “I Choose Clean Air,” explained Alexander Nuikin, manager of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Sberbank.
Thematic activities and music zones will be organized at the start and finish area. Festive, family, charitable and environmental locations will be open for guests of the holiday: photo zones, giant Jenga, games, yoga, making keychains.
The winners of the races will receive medals and valuable prizes. You can register for the Green Marathon distance until May 26 inclusive. Starting numbers will be available on May 28 and 29 from 10:00 to 21:00 at the Running Center on Dubrovinskogo Street, 1zh.
