This result marks a historic achievement in La Liga, with Barcelona becoming the first club in the 20-team format to record a 100% home winning percentage across 19 matches. The most recent example of a perfect home run in the Spanish first league was set by Real Madrid in the 1985/86 season, only there were 18 teams then.

Barcelona had another unbeaten season at the Camp Nou in 2016/17 under Ernesto Valverde, but then they also recorded three draws and Real Madrid were champions that year.

It is an extremely rare feat in European football. In the continent's top five leagues, there are only three other instances of teams winning all their home games:

• Saint-Etienne (in the 1974–75 Ligue 1 season, a 20-team competition)

• Sunderland (in the 1891/92 First Division season, a 14-team championship)

• Juventus (in the 2013/14 Serie A season, with 20 teams)

• Such a feat has never been achieved in the Bundesliga

For Barcelona, ​​this is the fifth season in history in which they have finished unbeaten at home, after 1948/49, 1952/53, 1958/59 and 1959/60.
