“Time is running out.” Trump warned Iran

If the Iranian regime does not offer the United States a favorable agreement, “they will face a much greater blow.” US President Donald Trump stated this in a telephone conversation with Axios, the contents of which were made public on May 18.

Trump believes Iran is interested in the deal. The White House chief is awaiting an updated offer from Tehran, which he hopes will be better than the last proposal made a few days ago. However, Trump added that “time is running out.”

“They better hurry up, otherwise they won’t have anything left,” Trump said.

He declined to give a specific deadline for completing negotiations with Iran, Axios indicated.

Trump plans to call his top national security team into a situation room on May 19 to discuss military options regarding Iran, according to two U.S. officials.

The US president met with members of his national security team at his Virginia golf club on May 16 to discuss Iran, a source told Axios.
