On the night of May 17, Ukrainian singer Verka Serduchka lit up the stage of the Eurovision 2026 grand final in Vienna (Austria) – she performed the song Volare (Nel blu, dipinto di blu) from the repertoire of the Italian singer and composer Domenico Modugno. The show was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the competition organizers.
Eurofans greeted the artist, portrayed by Ukrainian showman Andrei Danilko, with loud applause. Serduchka forced virtually all of Europe to sing in unison with her.
Serduchka was also joined on stage by other iconic participants of the competition, including the winner of Eurovision 2004, Ukrainian singer Ruslana. Vona sang the hit of the Swedish singer Loreen – Euphoria.
During the singer's performance, there were trembitas on stage. The medley was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the competition.
