President Nicușor Dan is “geometric spirit”, Ilie Bolojan “spirit of finesse”. Consequences in Romania's leadership

The separation is made by Blaise Pascal, French scientist and philosopher born 400 years ago.

According to university professor Mircea Martin, the difference can be explained as follows:
Pascal understood by “spirit of geometry” the very spirit of geometry as a rigorous scientific discipline, presupposing a difficult access, gained through a specific competence, to clear principles, “palpable”, indisputable, “far from common use”; on the contrary, the “spirit of finesse” implies principles that enter into common use, for which no special competence is needed, because you must have “good vision” and, moreover, “to feel rather than to see”.
President Nicușor Dan is “wrapped” in algorithms, definitions, axioms, theorems. For him, the Romanian Constitution is a package of axioms that he must respect with sanctity. The “letter” of the Constitution, not its spirit. It is written in the Constitution “algorithm” that when appointing the prime minister, the absolute majority or given by coalitions of parliamentary groups is checked, this will be done on Monday. Although it is clear that there is no majority, there are three large blocs, PSD, AUR, PNL-USR, incompatible with each other, plus UDMR and fractions of parliamentary groups that cannot give the majority of 233 MPs necessary for a majority, even if it is fragile.
The statements of the heads of the PSD, PNL, USR have hammered home that no majority is possible now, given the USL model of another time.
And yet, President Nicușor Dan deviates from the “algorithm” when he says that “AUR is excluded from governing” and “early elections” are excluded. The Constitution algorithm does not give the president the right to exclude parties from governing and early elections. It is a first slippage from the “algorithm”, which provides for the suspension of the president, in case of deviation from the Constitution.
The 281 votes collected by PSD and AUR in the last censure motion should have made the president think about parliamentary majorities. Is the PSD chiefs' statement that they are not forming a coalition with AUR enough? There are other statements by the PNL leaders that they do not form a coalition with the PSD, and probably on Monday the president will officially take note of these statements.
What can the president do to respect the Constitution?
After losing a day to find out what everyone knows, he will probably try, in the following days, an apolitical person, a technocrat, for the appointment of prime minister. But he must find the man who will win the trust of a parliamentary majority to validate his government, as well as the trust of the population, who will support the further activity of the government. Hard to believe he would find such a man. Radu Burnete, the presidential adviser who is rumored to be the president's proposal as future prime minister, is far from these elementary requirements.
Time is running against Romania. We are losing European money without a valid government, the rating agencies are taking us to “junk”, we must have correct and important reactions to the external and internal crises that are pressing us. We don't really have time for parliamentary experiments, a fact also realized by Nicușor Dan.
Ilie Bolojan, spirit of finesse
All his interventions and statements prove this. He does not bother to declare that he does not want to lie to the people in order to win votes. The population must know the truth, not be deceived with increases in pensions and salaries from loans, for which we are paying 12 billion euros in interest this year, the size of an important highway. Here are some of the last statements of Ilie Bolojan, realities that Nicușor Dan has not touched until now:
“You can no longer rule with a partner who has broken all the rules.”
“The PSD, which started this crisis, has no solution. They should have had the decency to take responsibility, but they don't want to do that.”
“If they had very good solutions, they would assume the government, they would ask the president to form the government. But they don't have that dignity.”
“For years people were told things that could not be covered by reality.”
“If you vote for us, you, the citizens, will do nothing more. A form of taking responsibility from the hands of the citizen and shifting it perversely to a government that is not the solution to the problems, but is the cause.”
“Governments set their house on fire, and the government I led started to put out the fire.”
“There's no turning back. A formula will have to be found.”
The confirmation that Bolojan is telling the truth came even from PSD vice-president Vasile Dâncu, who publicly admitted Bolojan's rise:
“Ilie Bolojan grew up. A mythology of the savior was born around him, the one who cuts, the one who doesn't make concessions, the one who fights against ratness.”
Bolojan does not speak in terms of the Constitution “algorithm”. It tells the reality from the ground, and adopts solutions that we can no longer postpone. About the “rat mind”, the capture of the state and its pesedist institutions, about the fact that this cannot be done anymore. The “bubble” must be broken in one way or another, in order to set the country on the right path followed by civilized countries in Europe and the world.
How the president Nicușor Dan will proceed to break the “bubble”, without the requirement of “political stability”, of the support of a parliamentary majority, is difficult to say. The solution that can be seen now would be a PNL-USR-UDMR minority government led by Ilie Bolojan. It is difficult to say now that the “spirit geometer” president will reach this solution.
