The child was in the car with the mother, while the father had entered a medical appointment, according to zazoom.it.

At that moment, the man would have suddenly approached the vehicle and tried to pull the little girl away.

The mother reacted immediately, fighting back by screaming and honking to get attention, which caused several bystanders to intervene. They managed to immobilize the aggressor until the arrival of the local police and carabinieri, who arrested him.

The Romanian was arrested, reports Diaspora News.

The man was under the influence of alcohol, said the mayor of Nepi, Franco Vita, who called for vigilance, stating that “we hope this is an isolated incident.”

“A well-planned act”

The child's mother, Laura, is convinced that the man watched for the right moment to act.

The woman says it was “a well planned actt”, explaining that the individual “he passed the car several times, noticed it and stared at my daughter,” according to Viterbo Today.

The girl's father, Francesco, also recounted the moment when the aggressor tried to grab the child:
“The little girl was on the driver's side playing with the steering wheel. When she rolled the window all the way down, the man … made a sudden movement and came over. He reached out and grabbed her”.

The mother managed to protect her daughter at the last moment. According to her, the little girl “she had half her body on the window when the man grabbed her arm,” and instinct impelled her to clasp her in her arms and scream to drive him away.

“I honked as loud as I could. Insistent, never taking my hand off,” the woman said.

We remind you that in February, a homeless Romanian tried to kidnap a one-and-a-half-year-old girl in front of the Esselunga supermarket in Via Corridoni, Bergamo, Italy, suddenly yanking her from her mother's arms and breaking her leg.
