Russian troops are continuing massive drone attacks into Ukraine, targeting civilian and critical infrastructure in several regions. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this in his Telegram on May 12.
“There are now more than a hundred Russian drones in our skies, and there may be more waves of drone attacks throughout the day. Russia continues to strike and does so boldly,” the president emphasized.
Russia, Zelensky said, continues to deliberately target railway infrastructure, civilian facilities in cities, as well as energy and port infrastructure.
“Yesterday, 14 regions were under attack during the day. Tonight, attacks were made on residential and railway infrastructure in the Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov regions, port infrastructure in the Odessa region, and energy in the Poltava region,” the head of state noted.
The President said that during the night of May 12 alone, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down and neutralized 111 Russian drones.
The head of state also emphasized the importance of international support for Ukraine and the world’s constant attention to the war.
“Every time the topic of war disappears from the top news, it encourages Russia to be even more cruel,” Zelensky added.
