Former commander of the SRI anti-terror paratrooper unit, “transferred” by Pro TV. What role will he play?

The Pro TV television station announced that from now on it will have a new position: that of Head of Security, which will be occupied by Cătălin Netcu, writes Pagina de Media on Tuesday.
Cătălin Netcu previously led an SRI unit and, in the new position, “will coordinate the company's security strategy, with responsibilities regarding the protection of people, assets, broadcast operations and digital infrastructure”.
What does the new role entail?
Pro TV specified, for the Media Page, what the position's responsibilities will be.
“Specifically, the main areas include: security of headquarters, studios and production spaces; coordination of procedures for filming and live broadcasts; prevention of incidents; rapid response in crisis situations; and protection of all persons working or collaborating with PRO TV,” the television station reported.
“The role also includes a risk management component, meaning the early identification of potential vulnerabilities and the establishment of clear procedures to ensure that the company's operations can continue under normal conditions, including in unforeseen situations,” says Pro TV.
Cătălin Netcu has a long experience, over two decades, in leadership roles in the field of security, risk and organizational resilience, with expertise in physical security, risk governance, intelligence-based operations, crisis management and protecting people, assets and reputation in complex and high-pressure environments.
Between 2006 and 2012, Netcu worked at the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), where he held the position of Commander of the anti-terror paratrooper unit.
Later, he worked in the area of private companies: at OMV (worked for 9 years), Emerson (3 years), ASIS (4 years) and was CEO of SSG Group (2 years).

Cătălin Netcu said: “I am honored to join the PRO TV team and contribute to the development of an organizational culture based on safety, prevention and quick response”.
“In a constantly changing media ecosystem, security must be integrated into the way the company operates every day, from the editorial and production area to the digital platforms and the relationship with people outside the company,” he added.
