Donald Trump talks about joining Venezuela to the US. “I'm seriously considering”

The US president said on Monday in an interview with Fox News that “Venezuelans love him.”
“He said he was 'seriously considering making Venezuela the 51st US state,' adding that it had $40 trillion worth of oil there.” [ok. 144 bln zł]” — described the station's reporter Bill Melugin on social media.

The US president has previously repeatedly alluded to and joked about the possible annexation of Venezuela. Donald Trump posted on social media, among others: graphics where the country's territory was marked with the American flag.
The leader also said that he is so popular in Venezuela that after the end of his current term, he will run in the elections against the current president, Delca Rodriguez. After the Venezuelan national team won the baseball final against the US national team, he called for the country to become the 51st state.
The US president also previously called on Canada to join the US and similarly suggested joining Greenland.
