A tram derailed in Valea Cascadelor and hit an electricity pole / Four passengers were taken to the hospital

An Astra Imperio tram on line 25 derailed on Thursday afternoon in the Valea Cascadelor area of Bucharest, and part of the train collided with a support pole of the electrical network. Four people were transported to the hospital, according to the information provided by the authorities.
“A short time ago we intervened as a result of the derailment of a tram from the tracks, on the Valea Cascadelor in the Capital. As a result of the derailment, a portion of the tram collided with a pole”, announced ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, according to Agerpres.
There were approximately 20 passengers in the tram at the time of the incident. Six people required medical attention, and four of them were later transported to the hospital.
A fire truck with extrication mode and four first aid crews intervened on the scene.
STB: A bogie has moved off the centerline of the taxiway
The Bucharest Transport Company (STB) reported that the incident occurred around 5:55 p.m., on Strada Valea Cascadelor, up to the intersection with Preciziei Boulevard. The tram was traveling in the direction of CFR Progresul.
“According to the first information, one of the bogies moved from the track axis, and the tram damaged a support pole of the electrical network. As a result of the incident, 6 passengers were injured and received medical attention,” STB reported, according to B365.
The company specified that the intervention teams were urgently mobilized and that the 625 shuttle line was established, between the Militari Depot and Răzoare, to pick up passengers.
At the same time, line 25 runs diverted: the trams go on the basic route between CFR Progresul and the intersection of Bulevardul Timișoara with Bulevardul Doina Cornea, after which they are redirected to Gara Basarab.
