Salina Praid was closed on Tuesday due to the infiltration due to abundant rains, informed the Press Office of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Harghita.
According to the quoted source, on the spot it intervenes with a high capacity motor pump, for water evacuation.
“Following the abundant rains there were water infiltration in the salt mine from Praid. A fire crew from the Gheorgheni Detachment was requested, with a large-capacity truck and a motor pump, which acts on the spot for water evacuation.ISU Harghita said, writes Agerpres.
Also, on the Facebook page of Saline Praid it is mentioned that the objective is closed “for technical reasons“, until once it will be communicated later.
In May of last year, the activity of production and visit to Salina Praid was stopped, for a month, due to infiltration and water penetrations, from Corund stream.
