Tensions at Dinamo after the announcement changing the visual identity of the club. Andrei Nicolescu, the president of the club, offered a sharp retort to Peluza Cătălin Hîldan, after the fans harshly mocked the new logo to be implemented from July 1, 2026.
The official's reaction comes after the official Facebook page of Peluza Cătălin Hîldan called him a “clown”, contesting the rebranding process.
Nicolescu suggested that the virulent messages online do not represent a unified position, but rather a lack of organization among fan page administrators.
Andrei Nicolescu explains the reason why Dinamo changed its logo: “The supporters forgot that they felt the need”
“They don't control each other, there are several administrators there (no – on the PCH Facebook page). The need was felt long before I arrived at Dinamo, including the supporters felt the need and it seems they forgot that they felt the need, they tried to do this (no – logo change).
It wasn't a need we created, it was obvious the moment we got here. It took a year and a few months, it's not an overnight process, the release was carefully timed during this time.
It wasn't today's date, but it was based on the schedule of the weekend's match,” Andrei Nicolescu said on the “Fotbal Show” show from Prima Sport.

The “dogs” boss defended the project, explaining that the new identity was built according to a rigorous brand manual, an arduous process.
Nicolescu emphasized that the process was not a dictatorial one, but involved various segments of the Dynamo fans: club legends, sports journalists, representatives of the fans, shareholders and employees of the club.
“Journalists, legends, Dinamo fans, those on the lawn, shareholders, people from the club participated in this process, they all participated in the process of creating and identifying this logo.
It is a way in which everyone expressed their opinion about how they see Dinamo, how they feel about it, what are their memories, many things related to a correct, structured rebranding process that continued with a brand identity, a brand manual, after which it continued in the last 6 months with the registration of the brand, because it is a very difficult and quite rigorous process.
And obviously, he continued afterwards with the release preparation process, the release date and the rest. I knew the reactions would be negative at first, it happened in all the ones I studied, the last ones culminating with Juventus, but slowly, slowly the world will settle down.
He will try to see the new identity in context, not simply as a picture on a white wall, and I think that this exercise that I did with some of the supporters and legends, who saw this before everyone, was a natural and respectful gesture,” added Nicolescu.
