In the Shushensky municipal district on May 3, a fire occurred in SNT No. 1.

The fire destroyed 12 summer cottages with vegetable gardens. Eight of them were abandoned.

59 people and 18 pieces of equipment worked on site. No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is being determined. Previously, wires overlapped near the building, but eyewitnesses did not notice any sparks. The wires were seized and an examination will be carried out.

The regional prosecutor's office organized an inspection. Experts are determining the cause of the fire and the conditions of maintenance of the electrical networks. The progress of the procedural review and bringing the perpetrators to justice were also monitored.

The head of the Shushensky municipal district, Dmitry Dzhigrenyuk, addressed residents and reminded that a special fire regime has been in effect in the district since May 3.

“During this period, open fire is strictly prohibited – you cannot make fires in the forests and use any sources of open fire, burn garbage and grass, or set off fireworks. In addition, restrictions are being introduced on citizens visiting forests. Once again, please be vigilant and follow the safety rules! Refrain from starting a fire, take care of yourself and your property,” said Dmitry Dzhigrenyuk.

If a fire is detected, call 101 or 112, or call the forest guard: 8-800-100-94-00 (phone is toll-free).
