An unexploded ordnance exploded in a bonfire in Austria. Five children injured

A serious incident occurred on Saturday evening near St. Oswald bei Freistadt in Austria, near the border with the Czech Republic. — There was an explosion in a clearing where young people often camp, said a local police spokesman, quoted by Reuters.
Five children aged 10 to 14 were injured in the explosion. Police said the level of their injuries was unknown. All the injured were taken to hospital in Linz.

It is unclear how the unexploded bomb ended up in the area prepared for the bonfire. Officers found another unexploded bomb under another fire pit nearby.
An investigation is currently underway to determine how the post-war unexploded ordnance ended up in this place, the uniform said.
