Marius Croitoru (45 years old) is preparing to play with FC Botoșani in the Conference League play-off against FCSB. The Moldovan technician mocked Gigi Becali (67 years old), after he was reminded that the owner of the titular champion declared that he would beat Botoșani with “a score of 200-0”.
FC Botoșani escaped undefeated in Constanța, where they drew with Farul, score 1-1, despite huge missed opportunities by the hosts. The team coached by Flavius Stoican was in dire need of victory, now risking a play-off spot, and Croitoru insists that he will never treat a match according to the opponent's situation.

At the press conference after the match in Constanța, Marius Croitoru addressed several topics, including Gigi Becali's recent ironies.
“I also caught other times, the time when people ran away from the stadium or in front of the televisions. That's why we are where we are, because we still pay tribute to those times.
A system was created where people no longer wanted to come to the stadium, no longer wanted to see, because you came to the stadium and basically you didn't know when to enjoy or what to enjoy.

Now every team, at least until the middle of the play-out, hopes to save from relegation. The matches are fair, played only on the field.
I can never in my life, no matter what happens, agree to such games. We play, we lose on the field. I lose honestly, I come in front of you, I stand with my head up and I tell you what I feel and what I think.
I don't like to formulate my speeches before, that I tried or…, no! We were taking a beating today, we were taking the right one, we were taking a game idea. That's how it was, I won a point.
In the end, this point helps us a lot, because we are, we still remain in the race for the 8th place. And in the end, this is our goal, of the locker room, to play at least one play-off match with FCSB, in Bucharest.
Mr. Becali won the championship before Easter… Mr. Becali, I think that many times you don't even believe what he says. Before, he said that Botoșani was relegating, that FCSB was taking the championship.
