Crețu's current contract expires in the summer, at the end of the season, but it will continue from next season. Becali praised the double champion with FCSB and declared himself dissatisfied with Alexandru Pantea, the veteran's competitor.
Crețu was the starter in the play-out, after losing this status in the regular season. He played a total of 22 matches in the current edition of the Superliga, 15 in the regular season and 7 in the play-out. He also has 13 appearances in European cups in the 2025-2026 season, 5 in the Europa League group and 8 in the preliminaries.
Crețu is not the first player who is preparing to sign the extension with FCSB. Gigi Becali announced a week ago that he will offer him a new contract as well Mihai Popescu.
