Trump says US weapons stockpile is larger than ever

US President Donald Trump says the United States' stockpile of weapons, including air defense missiles, is “more than ever.” According to CNN, he announced this on May 1.

Trump, in particular, said that the United States has “twice as much [ракет]than when it started,” apparently referring to the war against Iran.

The TV channel clarifies that Trump's statements do not correspond to estimates of stocks of various types of ammunition, which have been significantly depleted due to the war with Iran.

According to estimates by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, in a month of active combat, the United States has used up at least 45% of its stockpile of precision strike missiles, up to 50% of its stockpile of THAAD missiles, which are designed to intercept ballistic missiles, and half of its stockpile of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

These data were also confirmed by media sources familiar with the situation. It will take three to five years to replenish reserves.
