Ciprian Maricaa minority shareholder in Farul Constanța, was present today at the League of High Schools, in the Polyvalent Hall, and addressed several current topics from Romanian football.
The official from Constanta spoke about a possible duel between Dinamo and FCSB at the Conference League qualifying round, the delicate situation of Farului in the ranking, but also about the fight for the Superleague title.

The former striker commented on the scenario in which Dinamo would finish in 4th place in the play-off, and FCSB would win the semi-final of the group stage for the European cups, a situation that would lead to a Romanian Derby with the goal of qualifying for the UEFA Conference League.
“It remains to be seen. Dinamo, with a not big, very big budget, manages to be in the play-offs, but still he still lacks something, he doesn't manage to fight in the championship really. I haven't analyzed their game and I don't want to give my opinion, because I have a lot of friends there and I want to believe that they know football and know what they are doing.
I focus on what I have to do, but if it is going to be a play-off derby, it will be decided by the team that wants more and by the ambition and what the coach will manage to convey to the players, because Dinamo seems to me to be more of a team, and FCSB seems to me to be more of a team with individuals.
Will the individual value win, will Dinamo's group strength win, remains to be seen. FCSB is a team that sometimes surprises you, it has excellent, good matches, sometimes it makes inexplicably bad matches, I don't know why, but this inconsistency clearly takes you to the area where you are not sure that you can win the next match.”

Asked about the situation of Farului, which is only one point away from the relegation zone, Marica admitted that the end of the season is a tense one.
“We live with emotions this final of the championship, we are also optimistic that we can finish honorably and not in a play-off place, but unfortunately it's a complicated and difficult situation that I wish we didn't have to be a part of, but that's football.”
Ciprian Marica was also asked about Flavius Stoican, the coach of the Lighthouse, in the context in which the minority shareholder was disturbed that he was not consulted regarding this appointment decided by Gică Popescu.
“I wouldn't want to talk about the coach, especially since I didn't know about it. The important thing is for the team to be calm, I hope they will succeed, and in the end to be ranked in a place that is not a barrier.“
The former international also offered a point of view on the race for the title, highlighting the form of those from Craiova.
“Craiova seems to have a shot at the title and to be a team that somehow is solid, has all the components, from the players to the owner, to the coach, and it seems that things are right. Those from U Cluj lost a bit of momentum, I don't know what happened there. It's a pity, because they have good infrastructure and conditions and this championship will be played until the end.”
