Vladimir Putin met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the Kremlin. We discussed the situation in Syria and trade and economic relations between the countries.
According to the Russian leader, the situation in the Middle East is now tending to worsen, and this also applies to Syria. Assad noted the level of trust in relations between Moscow and Damascus. The last personal meeting of the presidents took place on March 15 last year, also in the Kremlin.
