
On April 28, at approximately 8:25 p.m. in Lviv, a man jumped from the observation deck of the Town Hall tower. The deceased was a 42-year-old Australian citizen, the Lviv City Council reports.
It is known that he climbed the tower on his own.
A farewell note was found on the observation deck. In it, the man asked for forgiveness for the upcoming mess and urged not to blame anyone for what happened.
Law enforcement officers are currently working at the scene, interviewing witnesses.
The speaker of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, Alina Podreyko, told Suspilny that the events were given legal qualification under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine marked “suicide”.
The Lviv Regional Emergency Medical Center told ZAXID.NET that the man died as a result of a fall from a height before the ambulance arrived.
