HBO Max released the teaser for the third season of “House of the Dragon”, a prequel derived from the famous television production “Game of Thrones”, according to News.ro.

The new season will arrive in Romania on June 22 and will have eight episodes that will be released weekly, until August 10.

“We're excited to continue this epic story. In season three, the stakes are higher than ever and the conflict between the factions of House Targaryen will reach its peak, giving fans the show they've been waiting for,” said Ryan Condal, co-creator and showrunner of the series, according to Variety.

The series, based on the novel “Fire & Blood” by George RR Martin, is set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” and tells the story of House Targaryen.

The cast includes Matt Smith, Emma D'Arcy, Olivia Cooke and Steve Toussaint, alongside Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell and Tom Glynn-Carney. They are joined by names such as James Norton, Freddie Fox, Gayle Rankin and Abubakar Salim.

“House of the Dragon” has set ratings records for HBO since its debut, with the first season winning the Golden Globe for Best Drama Series. In Romania, the production consistently dominated the audience charts on HBO's streaming platform.
