Nottingham secured a convincing 5-0 win at Sunderland and moved away from the relegation zone.
Nottingham, a semi-finalist in this season's Europa League, seems to escape worries in the championship as well. The Foresters had a perfect first half at Sunderland, scoring 4 times in the first 37 minutes, including through Chris Wood, his first since returning to the field.
Thanks to this win, Nottingham reached 39 points. It has an 8-point lead over Tottenham, the first team in the relegated place. The Londoners will play this round against Wolverhampton.
It looks like there will be a London battle for survival between Tottenham and West Ham in the final rounds. Wolverhampton and Burnley are the other two teams condemned to relegation to the Championship.
