The Spartan plane used by Nicusor Dan in foreign trips now has permanent communications during the flight

The Spartan military aircraft used by President Nicusor Dan in foreign trips has been modernized and has permanent and extensive communications during the flight, official sources stated on Friday, quoted by the Agerpres agency.

In January, after being stuck at the Paris airport due to weather conditions, the head of state declared that the Spartan plane had no communication facilities with the outside world.

In mid-January, the Ministry of National Defense carried out a communications test on the Spartan military aircraft used by the head of state, to check if the equipment that facilitates the Internet connection during the flight can be safely used.

“The first communications test was carried out on the Spartan aircraft. The technical data was obtained and sent to the manufacturer to check if there is interference. At this moment, the manufacturer is expected to transmit whether or not there is interference. Internet access was checked,” said Minister Radu Miruţă at the time.

The equipment was installed by the Special Telecommunications Service in collaboration with the Ministry of National Defense.
