The head of Voentorg JSC and the beneficiary of controlled organizations were detained. A criminal case was opened against them for theft of money on an especially large scale during the execution of government contracts for the needs of the Ministry of Defense – Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Investigators believe that in 2019, the director and employees of Voentorg JSC with accomplices in Moscow, North Ossetia-Alania, Stavropol Territory and Pskov Region specifically entered into government contracts for the supply of “army toiletries” in the amount of 625 million rubles. Which turned out to be overestimated by 400 million rubles.
They conducted 64 searches, seized documents, flash drives, phones, and so on.
