Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego wants to invest in Ukraine. A letter of intent was signed

The information was provided on Wednesday on Platform X by the chairman of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine, Paweł Kowal.

The document, as Kowal wrote, is intended to strengthen Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the defense area and the participation of Polish companies in the reconstruction process of the neighboring country.

The signatories of the letter are Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), the Czech bank NRB, the Finnish state financial institution Finnvera and the French development bank Bpifrance. Representatives of the European Commission also participated in the event.

As Kowal emphasized, the initiative is intended to enable financing dual-use projects, important for both the security and reconstruction of Ukraine.

In Kowal's opinion, this is of particular importance for the development of economic cooperation and for the regions of south-eastern Poland, including Podkarpacie.

According to the data provided, exports from Poland to Ukraine currently exceed EUR 13 billion annually.

“Poland is becoming a reconstruction hub. Now we have a chance to grow together – to the benefit of Ukraine and our companies. Europe is working together: Poland, the Czech Republic, Finland and France are going in one direction,” wrote the MP.
