CNA, a new sanction for Realitatea Plus. “Not our accounts”

The National Broadcasting Council fined the company that owns Realitatea Plus for not broadcasting a sanctioning decision on the YouTube and TikTok channels, informs Agerpres.
In Tuesday's meeting, CNA analyzed the report drawn up by the Monitoring Directorate as a result of the self-referral and decided to apply the following sanctions to PHG MEDIA-INVEST SRL:
– a fine of 25,000 lei for non-compliance with the provisions of art. 93^1 para. (1) from the Audiovisual Law no. 504/2002, according to which “The broadcaster to whom a sanction was applied or a legal summons was addressed by the Council has the obligation to communicate to the public the reasons and object of the sanction or summons, in the form sent by the Council”. The broadcaster did not broadcast the text of the sanctioning decision on the Tu decizi (YouTube) and Realitatea Plus (TikTok) channels, but also a summons for entry into legality.
PaginadeMedia writes that, according to CNA monitoring, in the three-hour interval, when it should have broadcast the text of the sanction, the station broadcast two shows, moderated by Delia Vrâneanu and Nicoleta Cone, but without the logo and without displaying the time.
In response, the representative of the television told the members that Tu Decizi, the platform that broadcasts the Realitatea Plus show live, does not belong to PHG Media, nor does the TikTok page.
Earlier this month, CNA decided to withdraw the license of the station Realitatea Plus for non-payment of fines from 2024, but the Court of Appeal suspended the decision the next day.
