George Simion won, with a score of almost 41%, the first round of the presidential elections 2025, the leader and the gold candidate receiving over 3.8 million votes. He will face in the second round of the election that will take place over two weeks with the independent Nicușor Dan, who exceeded the candidate of the ruling coalition, Crin Antonescu, with 86,000 votes.

After the failure of Crin Antonescu in the race for the second round of the presidential election, the PSD leaders left one by one from the headquarters in Kiseleff, where they had grouped after the moment of exit results.
