
If you mix cabbage, carrots and season them with sour cream, mustard and horseradish sauce, you will get an incredibly tasty and very juicy Cole Slaw salad. Ukrainian restaurateur Evgeniy Klopotenko shared the recipe for such a salad.
The secret to Cole Slaw salad is in the cutting of the ingredients. The taste and texture will depend on it. Cabbage and carrots should be cut into equal strips.
Klopotenko noted that the longer the salad sits in the refrigerator, the tastier it becomes.
Products
- one large carrot;
- 400 g white cabbage;
For sauce per 150 g serving:
- 50 g sour cream with a fat content of at least 20%;
- 6 g sweet mustard;
- 10 g grated or canned horseradish;
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Cut the carrots into thin strips using a knife or a special cutter with cloves.
- Wash the cabbage and cut into thin strips using a knife. It is desirable that it be long. Place vegetables in a deep bowl.
- Prepare the sauce. Grate the horseradish root on a fine grater. Canned can be used. Place the grated horseradish in a small bowl, add sour cream and mustard.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir the vegetables and dress the salad with sauce.
- It is advisable to leave the Cole Slaw for an hour or even two so that the sauce softens the taste of the cabbage.
