On Saturday evening, the full, official results of the parliamentary elections in Hungary were announced. In the 199-person National Assembly, the opposition TISHA won 141 seats, the Fidesz-KDNP coalition won 52, and the far-right Mi Hazank won six. 133 seats are needed to obtain a constitutional majority.

On Monday, after 98 percent conversion. votes, the National Electoral Office indicated that TISZA would take 138 seats and Fidesz-KDNP 55. The last missing votes came from abroad and from correspondence packages. Their counting was completed only on Saturday, after six days.

Viktor Orban lost power after 16 years to Peter Magyar. He announced that his cabinet should be sworn in by the first half of May.

— The President assured me that the first session of the National Assembly could be held on May 4 at the earliest, but a realistic date is May 6 or 7, said the chairman of TISZY.
