Bogdan Andone (51 years old), the coach of Pitesti, declared himself “a little upset” with the result his team achieved in Giulesti, 0-0 with Rapid, in the 4th round of the play-off.

I'm happy with the point, it's not easy to play in Giulesti against a good team with quality players who want the championship. I'm a bit upset because we had 3 great chances to score. If we had succeeded, maybe we would have forced those from Rapid to play more.

Bogdan Andone: “I'm a little upset, I had 3 great chances to score and I didn't do it”

I congratulate the players for the work done tonight, for the way they got involved in the game and we left Giulesti undefeated, a difficult stadium.

I don't think that Rapid had more opportunities and I think that we had the clearer and more important situations“, declared Bobdan Andone at the end of the match in Giulești, during the flash-interview on Prima Sport.

The Pitesti technician also spoke about the situation of Claudiu Micovschi, who left the field injured in the 7th minute.

“We are waiting for the MRI check tomorrow and the doctor's verdict. I hope it is not a serious injury, because we still have many games, every 3 days. Friday with CFR, Tuesday in the Cup with Cluj University, then with Craiova. We are a team at the limit, and all the players are important for us.

This result does not confuse us, because we approach every game as a win, we try to get something out of every game, and that's what we managed today. We stayed next to CFR, in front of Dinamo, we came close to the first places.

We have to approach Friday's game very well, we will try to win it, and from Saturday we will prepare the Cup match with Craiova University”, added Bogdan Andone.

Bogdan Andone also spoke about the death of Mircea Lucescu, whose student he was at Rapid. Under his command, he managed to win the title of champion in 1999.

“It means a lot. Unfortunately, we as a nation, as a people, as long as people are alive, we appreciate them too little, in all fields. We enjoy too little of their value, their experience, as it was in the case of Mr. Lucescu, an unimaginable value. I relived the moments when I was his student at Giulesti,” the Pitesti technician also declared
