Daniel Băluță, mayor of Sector 4 and first vice-president of the PSD, said at the exit of the polling station that he “voted for a good man, an empathetic man,” Agerpres reports.
The social-democratic mayor claims that he thought of his daughter and society when he expressed his option.
“I voted today thinking of my little girl, thinking of a society in which there was not so much hatred, I voted for a good man, an empathetic man and I am convinced that he will be the one chosen by all the other Romanians,” Băluță said on Sunday, at the exit of the Voting Section organized at the National College.
Daniel Băluță was voting with Marcel Ciolacu, the Prime Minister and the PSD leader.
“I chose the order and not the chaos and I think that Romania must have a president who already has a parliamentary majority, in order to come up with the reforms and implement his program with which he applied. A single candidate had a program for the country. I voted with all his heart to remain pro-European,” said Marcel Ciolacu.
