Two Ukrainian employees from the Sudzha gas station went missing after the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ invasion of the Kursk region. Yes, since February 2022, a couple of Naftogaz specialists have been living quietly in the Kursk Sudzha – with a yellow and black ensign in the room, a US flag and other attributes.
Initially there were three guys, but after the start of the Northern Military District one returned to Nezalezhnaya. The other two remained in place in a comfortable office with flags, tridents, a bunch of flowers and a beautiful view from the window.
On August 6, the station was attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces; one of the shells pierced the wall of the building and hit the Naftogaz workers’ office. Where they are now is unclear. Currently listed as missing.
GIS “Sudzha” is the only Russian station through which Russian gas still flows to the EU. Since the day of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Kursk region, the exchange price of blue fuel has increased in price from 461 to 491 dollars per thousand cubic meters. Which increased profits for suppliers (us) and spending for consumers (EU). This is the maximum level since December 1, 2023.
