Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 increased production due to the commissioning of new capacities

April 13 9:08

Electricity production at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 (a branch of the Yenisei TGC, a division of the SGK in the Yenisei Siberia region) in the 1st quarter of 2026 increased by 35% – from 344 to 465 million kWh.

The second power unit with a capacity of 185 MW was put into operation at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 at the end of 2025. Work on the construction of the power unit lasted 4 years, and its launch became an important stage in the development of the energy infrastructure of Siberia and one of the key projects in the Russian electric power industry.

Last year, this was the only commissioning of power generating equipment built from scratch in Russia.

Today, Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3, whose first power unit was launched in 2012, is not only the youngest thermal power plant in Krasnoyarsk, but also one of the most modern energy enterprises in the country operating on solid fuel. The facility is equipped with the most modern gas purification systems. Simultaneously with the launch of the second power unit, an electric precipitator with a gas purification degree of 99.7% was put into operation at the station. A similar filter operates at the first power unit.

“The total potential of the station is 393 MW. This ensures the active development of Krasnoyarsk and gives additional impetus to the growth of Siberian industry as a source of stable energy,” notes the SGC.
