Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański declared in an interview published on Saturday by Business Insider that he would strive to increase the presence of Polish companies and their exports to the United States.

Domański was asked about the purpose of his meeting with US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, which he plans to meet next week.
Customs policy with the United States is common to the entire EU. However, since I am going to the G20 as Poland's Minister of Finance and Economy, I will strive to increase the presence of Polish companies and their exports to the United States. Although our direct export to the USA is growing, reaching nearly PLN 51 billion, it still remains below our potential. And I want to change this, said Minister Domański.
He added that the American market “is promising” for the Polish furniture and fittings industry, as well as for the shipbuilding sector, the food industry and high-technology companies.
“Because we see great potential here, last year we opened a new PAIH office in Silicon Valley. Its task is to make it easier for Polish entrepreneurs to enter the American market. This is one of our many activities in the area of modern economic diplomacy,” added the head of the Ministry of Finance. (PAP)
