Luciano Spalletti remains at Juventus until 2028

“When I arrived seven months ago, they offered me this contract, which was like saying, 'Let's spend some time together, get to know each other and then, at the end of the year, we'll be free to decide.'

I accepted without any hesitation because I wanted to see what Juventus is like from the inside. I was impressed by seeing you from the outside and I liked the idea of entering your dressing room,” the Juventus coach initially declared.

Spalletti then praised the unity and strength of the group, stating: “It was easy to imagine the greatness of Juventus, it was harder to find a team so united. Every time I see you, I see Juve.

So I thought it was important to tell you first, and then we decided to extend this contract for another two years. We have challenges ahead, but I am convinced that with you they will become great challenges. The greatness of the club is a responsibility, because we have to make our millions of fans proud”.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the new contract provides for a significant salary increase for the Italian coach. From the 3 million euros he receives annually, his remuneration will exceed 5 million, and by reaching certain objectives it could reach up to 6 million euros.

Luciani Spalletti started his coaching career at Empoli, and then went on to coach Sampdoria, Venezia, Udinese, Ancona, AS Roma, Zenit, Inter Milan, Napoli and the Italian national team.
