The French company TotalEnergies reported on Friday that one of the two lines at the SATORP refinery in Saudi Arabia was damaged after incidents that occurred on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. The company was forced to stop the installation for safety reasons.

The company added that it was assessing the effects of the incidents on the operation of the refinery and emphasized that there were no human losses.
The SATORP refinery is located in the city of Al-Jubail, located on the Persian Gulf in eastern Saudi Arabia. TotalEnergies and the Saudi company Aramco are its co-owners. Production is 465 thousand. barrels of oil per day, which makes SATORP one of the largest plants of this type in the world.
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy reported on Thursday that important energy installations in the country had been damaged as a result of “numerous attacks” in the previous days.
