In it, Khamenei called on the Iranians to continue the fight against the United States and Israel, calling the results of the war, in which a truce was officially declared, an “obvious victory.”
“We can safely say: you, the heroic people of Iran, have become the undisputed winners in this battle,” the message says.
Khamenei also addressed Middle Eastern leaders, urging them to “take the right side” and not succumb to “the promises of the devils.” According to him, Tehran “will not leave alone” the United States and Israel, which have launched a military operation against Iran.
“We are still waiting for a proper response from you to demonstrate our brotherhood and goodwill towards you. This cannot be achieved if you do not distance yourself from the arrogant powers that do not miss a single opportunity to humiliate and exploit you,” the appeal reads.
He noted that the Iranian side insists on reparations from the enemy. Khamenei also noted that Iran is preparing for a “new stage” in managing the Strait of Hormuz.

Context
On March 24, The New York Times wrote that the United States handed Iran a 15-point plan to end the war in the Middle East. It, as CNN reported, includes, in particular, Iran's commitment not to develop nuclear weapons, limiting Tehran's defense capabilities, ending the activities of regional proxy groups and resuming shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Also, according to this plan, Iran must give highly enriched uranium to the United States.
In response, Iranian representatives stated that the American proposal transmitted through intermediaries was “ambitious, unreasonable and illogical,” writes IranWire. So Iran presented its 10-point plan to end the war, ahead of the deadline set by US President Donald Trump after threatening to raise “a living hell” and “destroy an entire civilization tonight.”
On April 8, US President Donald Trump agreed to stop strikes on Iran for two weeks in exchange for the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz. He wrote about this in Truth Social an hour and a half before the ultimatum expired.
Iran also agreed to a truce and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed. It subsequently became known that Israel had joined a two-week cessation of strikes on Iran, CNN reported, citing a White House official.
