In Russia, a large Lukoil plant is on fire after a drone attack.

According to the official, the drones damaged two facilities of Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez LLC at once, and a fire started there. Nikitin claims that fragments of downed UAVs got into the fuel facilities, and the fire was localized.

The Novogorkovskaya Thermal Power Plant was also damaged, leaving part of the region without power supply.

The Russian online publication ASTRA and the Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ publish a video filmed by eyewitnesses of the drone attack on Nizhny Novgorod. The footage shows the glow of the oil refinery.

Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez is one of the leading oil refineries in the Russian Federation with a capacity of about 17 million tons of oil refining per year. It produces automobile, aviation and diesel fuels. The Kstovo plant was already attacked in November 2025.
