As every month, in Business Insider Polska, we look at the Central Statistical Office data on the salary structure in our country. We take into account the median, which better describes the actual salary level, and analyze each of the 2.5 thousand jobs according to it. Polish municipalities.

A small village is a leader

Effect? In the April publication, which takes into account data from October 2025, we return to the leading position. Almost traditionally, it is Jerzmanowa, which led the pack for most of 2025. It fell to second place only in the data for September.

It is a small and little-known commune in Lower Silesia, located in the vicinity of numerous KGHM plants, including steelworks and mines.

And since the copper giant is famous for paying high salaries, it's no wonder that Jerzmanowa is usually among the best in the country. Since it is a relatively small commune (less than 6,000 inhabitants), KGHM employees constitute a very large part of it. So they increase local statistics.

In October 2025, the median salary was there over 10 thousand PLN 295 gross. This means that half of the inhabitants had a salary not lower than this amount. On a national scale, this is unique and the only place where the median reaches a five-digit value.

In second place is the leader from the previous month, Podkowa Leśna. One of the most prestigious bedrooms in Warsaw boasts a median level 9 thousand PLN 973 gross monthly.

Warsaw closes the podium. Half of the capital's inhabitants earn at least PLN 9,000. PLN 843 gross per month.

The map below shows where the pockets of wealth are created in our country. Traditionally, these are Warsaw and the surrounding area (six of the first ten communes are located there), but also Lower Silesia (mainly the copper basin, but also the vicinity of Wrocław) and the communes around Krakow and Poznań.

In addition, there are less obvious directions. This includes: Osielsko near Bydgoszcz or Białe Błota, Dobra commune near Szczecin (right next to the border with Germany) and Stawiguda near Dolsztyn.
