Saturday National Council of Poland 2050 obliged party members to stop escalating tensions by the National Congress scheduled for March 21also wants disciplinary proceedings to be suspended and personnel changes to be refrained from in public and local government bodies. After the deliberations of the National Council, MP Żaneta Cwalina-Śliwowska announced her departure from Poland 2050. According to her, it is not entirely transparent how the National Council was convened and whether it was in accordance with the regulations.

When asked about Saturday's events in the party, Paulina Hennig-Kloska, deputy head of Poland 2050, told PAP that At the meeting of the National Council, the “muzzle resolution” of Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz was adopted by a “slightly lopsided majority”.. She added that this resolution states that “MPs and senators have no right to make any decisions regarding themselves and it is the chairwoman, not the club members, who will decide who heads the club,” Hennig-Kloska pointed out.

– We did not join a party in which people are given a voice and act for them – said Hennig-Kloska.

In her opinion Saturday's events at the National Council have nothing to do with democracy or solidarity. – Even more so if we look at the fact that before the National Council, the president, through the hands of the secretary general, blocked by-elections of some delegates in order to maintain the majority in the Council – she said.

– For me, this is about cementing the club's authorities, and we weren't supposed to be about the stools. (…) And here Poland 2050 is once again reduced to a discussion about positions, this time about the position of the deputy prime minister – said Hennig-Kloska.

– Another position that the camaraderie fights over is the position of club chairman. It should be headed by a person who unites the club, so cementing power in the hands of someone who divides the club is an act to the detriment of the club, she emphasized. She added that this was an unacceptable situation.

– We will probably talk to each other in the coming days about what we are going to do next. Of course, we are fully aware that this resolution has no legal force because the grounds for its adoption by the National Council are questionable, she noted. She added that the resolution was also inconsistent with the rules of procedure of the Sejm and the Act on the mandate of a deputy and senator.

– I compare it a bit to Zbigniew Ziobro's bill, which cemented power in the National Prosecutor's Office – she said.

Hennig-Kloska, asked if she still sees a chance for Poland 2050, said that “today the party is struggling with a huge problem when it comes to public trust.” – Such actions take away its oxygen, because if there is no trust within the parliamentary club and the chance to rebuild it is torpedoed, it will naturally spread to supporters and voters – she added.

MP Aleksandra Leo also described the resolution adopted by the Polish National Council 2050 as “muzzling”.

– This is a symbolic end of Poland 2050, which I joined. Poland 2050, which was supposed to be democratic, solidarity and green – she said in an interview with Polsat News.

She announced that in the next few days the group of MPs and senators with whom she works will decide what to do next in the context of the future of Szymon Hołownia's party.

Polish 2050 MP Łukasz Osmalak, referring to Żaneta Cwalina-Śliwowska's departure from the party, pointed out that “it is no secret” that there has been a difference of opinion in the party for some time. – Of course, I take it that not everyone is able to bear the burden of the fact that everything didn't go as they expected. Unfortunately, some people don't keep up the pressure, they react nervously and that's why these types of situations arise – said Osmalak in Polsat News.

Michał Gramatyka, deputy minister of digitization and MP from Poland 2050, also assessed that Cwalina-Śliwowska's departure was the result of the impossibility of coming to terms with the decision of the National Council of Poland 2050, which adopted the so-called peace resolution.

Gramatyka noted that Saturday's behavior of his party colleagues “arouses great disgust in him.” As he said, the actions of some members of Poland 2050 are a response to the changes introduced by the new chairman of the party – Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.

– They are trying to fight using methods that have little in common with democracy – said the deputy head of MC. – For me, work is the most important thing and I deeply hoped that when this electoral process was over, we would all just get back to work – he added.

Saturday's National Council of Poland 2050 was intended to calm the mood in the party, which is experiencing an internal struggle for influence. At the end of January this year. Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz became the new leader of the party, but her rival Paulina Hennig-Kloska received slightly fewer votes in the intra-party elections.

There are 31 MPs in the Polish 2050 club. The group, together with KO, PSL and the Left, forms a government coalition. (PAP)
