He did it inside the stadium in Giulesti, in one of the offices overlooking the lawn. Bilașco wanted to thank those at CFR Cluj, where he worked for the last 9 years, and to present his first impressions of Giulești.

“Yes, I came back… from a different posture. I didn't think so, honestly, but life throws you into some situations that you don't expect. For me there was always an emotional charge because my last official was at Rapid. Every time I came back here the same thing came to my mind, because I did something dear to me.

Everything I've achieved in my playing career comes to an end and you can't forget that moment. I would not have wanted it to be in the conditions in which it ended, because Rapid was going through a very complicated period then, but it belongs to history.

Now I find the Rapid in a different posture, completely and completely changed, much better. It looks, from the outside, like a very well organized club”, said Bilașco in the first phase.

“It's a challenge for me too. I come from a club that gave me confidence and made me live some extraordinary moments.

Being the first interview I'm giving after leaving CFR, I want to thank everyone there for the trust they gave me, especially the boss, because I came to the club the day he came and I've stayed until now.

I lived a beautiful time and I really want to live beautiful moments at Rapid too. That was the main reason why I accepted Rapid's proposal“, he added.

Marius Bilașco: “Something is missing at Rapid. I don't know what”

“I know more from the outside what is happening at Rapid, I intuit certain things. I know that it is a special club, that the supporters are extraordinary and create perhaps the most beautiful atmosphere in Romania at the stadium. It is clear that at this moment something is missing to take that step.

Rapid is in a very good moment now, very close to achieving the proposed objectives. I will try to do everything in my power to help the club achieve its goals. I came with this thought.

Talking with Victor and Mr. Șucu, the moment is extremely important for the club and the supporters. I won't be able to do much during this period, but I am convinced that the work they have done this season can be crowned at the end with the achievement of the goal.

It would be great for the club. It's a good moment and what we've seen in some games is that the team has a good spirit and can achieve something this season.

I kind of know what's missingthe experience gained in recent years taught me what a club must have to become a winner.

Rapid has all the conditions, all the support to take this step. We'll try together to find that something, so we won't be sorry in the end. It's a year of work and it's a shame not to take the step now, at the end”, added the one who will be the club's sports director from the summer.

Many of the players I know, some I have worked with. From the outside, without going into too much detail, they seemed focused on what's to come on Sunday, they seemed quite aware of the importance of the match. Let's hope we can rise to the level of importance.

I made contact with almost everyone, I did a short tour. It's only the first day, we'll have time to talk more.

My message is that only together will we succeed. The supporters of Rapid were always by the side of the team and encouraged it. I am convinced that they will do it from now on with as much passion as before. I am convinced that the boys, the team, the staff will reward this support, which makes Rapid extremely strong in home matches.
