Deputy chief of Krasnoyarsk police detained in bribe case (video)

In Krasnoyarsk, deputy chief of the city police Sergei Tetyukhin was detained on suspicion of bribery and fraud. This was reported to the Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, from September 2021 to May 2022, Sergei Tetyukhin, holding the position of head of police department No. 5, learned that his colleagues were investigating a fraud case. Through an intermediary, he informed the defendant that he could “resolve the issue” and help him avoid criminal liability. For the promised service, the policeman received from the man through an intermediary a monetary reward in the amount of more than 3.5 million rubles.
In addition, from 2020 to 2023, Sergei Tetyukhikh received property worth over 190 thousand rubles from a city resident as a bribe. In return, he helped foreigners obtain residence permits faster and facilitated taking the oath of citizenship, even if they did not speak Russian well.

Based on materials presented by the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Investigative Division of the Security Service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region, a criminal case was opened against the deputy chief of police of Krasnoyarsk under paragraph “c” of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe in the form of other property on a large scale), Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale).
The suspect's home and work were searched. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the police in the form of detention is now being decided.
The investigation also intends to evaluate the actions of the bribers.
