The Swedish government plans to announce the transfer of several Gripen fighter jets of the Jas 39 C/D model to Ukraine. Aftonbladet reported this on May 27, citing its sources.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in this regard convened a press conference on May 28.
At the same time, negotiations should begin on the future sale of additional aircraft to Ukraine, but this time the Jas 39E model. Ukraine will pay for these aircraft using a loan from the European Union.
